And although we might not have the flying cars or true hoverboards that the movie back to the Future predicted. But we do have some damn cool gadgets that come pretty close. It used to be that if you wanted to go somewhere without a car you’d have to push or pedal your way to get there. Now in today’s modern world, we have eco-friendly electric alternatives to traditional transportation, and they’re called rideable.

Dockless electric scooter company GOAT has launched in Austin after receiving official permits from the city’s transportation department for its pilot program.

With GOAT’s launch in Austin, they have become the first company in the United States based outside of California to launch dockless scooters and a mobile app. Their mobile app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices. GOAT is currently bootstrapped but says it plans to continue partnering with local cities to launch its electric scooter service across the nation.
